Nikon Laser Rangefinders
Nikon offers a wide variety of products that range from the inexpensive side to fairly high priced. The Coolshot comes in several different styles with different features along with several different price points. Nikon has been growing in the rangefinder niche and their products get ranked highly in customer rankings. The rangefinders are nicely designed and very accurate. Depending on what you are looking for in a rangefinder, the chances are good that Nikon will have a product that will fit your needs.
Nikon Coolshot Pro Stabilized Rangefinder
The Nikon Coolshot Pro Stabilized Rangefinder is a fantastic rangefinder that offers a stabilizer that helps you lock in on your target quickly and accurately even if your hands are not steady at the moment. Nerves are part of the game, but this rangefinder will help take the nerves out of the situation and provide you an accurate yardage.
Slope adjusting measurements allows you to know the distance to your target while taking in to consideration elevation change. Guessing how far uphill your target may be is no longer an issue. The rangefinder will calculate the adjusted yardage for you. Because slope adjustment is not legal in tournament play, there is an indicator light on the rangefinder that clearly shows the slope adjustment has been turned off making it legal for tournament play.
Knowing that you are locked on to your target is extremely important. The rangefinder will put a green circle around the target so you know exactly what you are locked on to and gives you absolute certainty that you are scoping the correct target. The accuracy is exceptional up to 1200 yards with a +/- of 1.75 yards at that distance. It also provides automatic adjustments to accommodate lighting situations so you can clearly see your target. Magnifying power of 6x.
The eight second scan feature allows you to scan the hole and get distances to certain targets on the hole with one click of the button. This is great feature that allows you to see distances to trees, bunkers, and hazards in one shot instead of having to shoot each target separately.

Nikon Coolshot 20
The Nikon Coolshot 20 is less expensive than the others and also smaller and lighter. This is the lightest (4.4 ounces) rangefinder that Nikon produces and is considerably lighter than any of the rangefinders on the market. It is small enough to fit in your pocket or a small pouch in your golf bag.
It has an 8 second scan so when you push the button you can scan yardages for up to 8 seconds allowing you to take a look at the surroundings of the hole in one look. This is beneficial if you are looking at distances in the fairway like bunkers, trees, and water hazards while deciphering where you want to hit your shot.
It also is water resistant and can be used during any weather conditions. It can find measurements up to 550 yards away and has 6x magnifying power.
This is a great rangefinder for the price and will not disappoint.

Nikon Coolshot 40
The Nikon Coolshot is a step up from the Coolshot 20. Hyper Read Technology provides accurate distances in under one second no matter how far the target is. It measures distances up to 650 yards with pinpoint accuracy.
First Target Priority Technology provides the measurements to the flagstick before capturing anything in the background. This feature gives you confidence that you are not locking on to something in the background when you are trying the scope the flagstick. You will know that you are locked on the closest object, the flagstick, when there are trees in the background.
Scope any object on the course. Get accurate distances to bunkers, hazards, and corners of the doglegs. Pull the right club knowing that your target is at the exact distance. Avoid hitting the bunkers and any other trouble while laying up on the par 4.
This rangefinder is weatherproof allowing you to play in any weather conditions while still providing accurate measurements to the flagstick.

Nikon Coolshot 40i
The Nikon Coolshot 40i has a few more enhanced features than the Coolshot 40 and is the most versatile rangefinder in the Nikon product line. Specifically it has slope adjusting distances (ID technology or incline/decline) giving you accurate yardages when hitting uphill or downhill.
It has the eight second continuous scan which allows you to view the entire hole with the push of a button and provides yardages to bunkers, hazards, and trees as you scan across the green or fairway.
First Target Technology is also available so you know that you are scoping the closet object to you, like the flagstick. No need to worry about mistakingly scoping a tree behind the green. The First Target Technology takes care of that worry for you.
It has the ability to flip the First Target Technology over to Distance Target Priority Mode. This is a great feature if you have missed the fairway in the trees. You have an opening in the trees to see the flag, but you don’t want to worry about scoping a tree branch in front of you. The Distance Target Priority will look for the object that is furthest from you and lock on to that target.
Like the Coolshot 40, this rangefinder is also weatherproof.
The Nikon Coolshot 40i is a little more expensive than the Coolshot 40, but the enhanced features may be worth it.
