The Bushnell iON 2 is similar to the Bushnell Phantom GPS in a watch.  It provides distance to the front, middle, and back of the green.  It also provides up to four hazard or layup distances per hole.  Battery life can last over 3 rounds.

Because this product is a watch, it has two added benefits for those who are walkers.  The first is a shot distance calculator where you can push a button and it will track the number of steps it takes to reach your next shot.  So if you blast one off the tee, you can walk it off and see how far you actually hit it.  The second feature is an odometer so you can track how many steps you took during your round.

The watch has programed over 36,000 courses with automatic course recognition and automatic hole advancement.

The Garmin Approach S20 is a nicely rated watch that comes with the standard features and some nice upgrades.  Preloaded courses with automatic updates.

Autoshot is a feature that tracks each shot, measures distances, and shows your where you hit each to provide post round analytics  that can help improve your game.  You can review each hole and see what clubs you hit and shows you how you navigated the hole shot by shot.  A very nice feature that can show your tendencies and provide stroke saving trends for your next round.

Along with autos hot, it has stat tracker which where you can keep greens in regulation, fairways hit, and putts for the round.

It’s green view feature allows you to zoom in on the green and place the pin location where you want it so you can have a precise distance to the flag.

Activity tracking keeps track of all of your states whether you playing golf or doing another activity.  It tracks steps, calories burned, distance and time.  It can even monitor your sleep activity.  A nice fitness feature for a golf watch.

Bluetooth technology allows your watch have emails and texts sent directly to the watch.  These just aren’t notifications, you can actually read the text or email.  No need to go to your bag and find your phone to read the message, just view it on your watch while waiting for your turn to play.

Batter life is 10 hours when utilizing GPS and up to 5 days when using the normal watch features.

The Callaway GPSy Golf Watch is a sleek looking golf watch that provides quick distances to the front, middle, and back of the green.  It comes with over 30,000 preloaded courses worldwide.

It is able to gives yardages to the front and back of water hazards and doglegs.  Once you turn the watch on, it will automatically load the course that you are playing and has automatic hole advancement for convenience.

  1. Cool website, will you provide some sort of a guarantee so if I don’t like what I buy, I can get a refund or a different range finder??

    • Not all rangefinders have a money back guarantee so it depends on which rangefinder is purchased.

    • That is tough question to answer. I would start with your price point. You may mot need/want to spend $400 on a rangefinder. Many of the less expensive rangefinders work very well and provide most of what you need (depending on skill level). Good luck with your search. Let me know if I can answer questions.
